VARIETAL Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Tempranillo
REGION Côtes de Provence, Provence, France
WINEMAKING Each cépage vinified separately. Malo in oak and then aged in used French oak barriques for 16 months. Min 2-3 months in tank before bottling.
TASTING NOTE This wine is made predominately from the Southern French varieties Grenache and Syrah with a helping hand from their Western French cousins, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and a hint of Spanish Tempranillo. Spicy black pepper mingles with Provençal garigue balanced beautifully by raspberry flavours and hints of sweet strawberry and blackcurrant. Denser plum and black olive tapenade linger on the finish with a touch of vanilla oak. Powerful, yet elegant, with a fine tannic structure. Perfect to drink now or keep for 3 or 4 years.
