Since the beginnings we have cultivated the vineyard with a spirit of respect for the environment, with the minimum phytosanitary and sustainability treatments. In fact, we were among the first to introduce pheromones in the vineyard with the aim of avoiding, by natural means, the woodworm of the vine.
In 2014 we made the decision to officially certify ourselves as organic. And it is in the 2018 vintage when, finally, we can already indicate it with the official label of organic wine and that of the CCPAE (certifying body in Catalonia).
Our philosophy in the agricultural world and, more specifically in the vineyard, is ecological and sustainable: total respect for the natural product and without the use of fertilizers or pesticides. In short, without synthetic chemicals.
The environment in our case is essential. And that is why we maintain and respect the forests that delimit our properties, as well as the two ravines that section our main farm in Monistrol d'Anoia. In addition, the fauna and especially the ornithological, ends up enriching the contribution of the land to the vines. And to close the biodynamic circle, we are introducing cattle and cattle in the ravines and forests of the property.

Organic Grower Cava
The Sumarroca family has the largest single vineyard in the Penedes, situated on three estates, each providing specific soil and exposure. YA means "Yes!" in Spain, with estate grown grapes from Moli Caloma (Subirats) , Heretat Sabartes (Baix Penedes) and Sumarroca (Alt Penedes).
