Unique Terrior in Perfect Harmony.
Established in 1996 as a partnership between the Robert G. Mondavi family and Viňa Errázuriz, the Colchagua Valley was chosen as the home of the Caliterra Estate.
Moved by a fierce determination to express the characteristics of varietal wines or enhance the soul of our “terroirs” in our Grands Crus wines, we first and foremost offer the identity of a region and its Protected Designations of Origin.
Founded in 1870, Viňa Errázuriz is one of the most prestigious wineries in Chile. Today, fifth generation Eduardo Chadwick is proprietor. Together he and Robert Mondavi were visionaries seeking to tap into the potential of the Colchagua Valley,
soon becoming one of the most recognized valleys in the global wine market over the last decade.
The Caliterra Estate is 1,085 ha. of self-contained property, approximately 75% untouched land. A micro climate within the Colchagua climate, Caliterra has cool nights and gentle breezes coming in from the Pacific Ocean tempering the sun. Different sun exposures and diversity of soils help define the unique personality and quality of the wines.
The distinguished Caliterra logo captures the many aspects of the brand philosophy. Dubbed by Rob- ert Parker as one of the world’s most environmentally sensitive producers, Caliterra’s sustainable approach to crafting wines gives great value to high standards of environmental quality - protecting the health of the consumer and workers, working strongly united to the community, and preserving the natural landscape for future generations.... All in harmony.
