Armagnac is at the very origin of Château de Millet, as evidenced by the two "boilers", in other words the two stills, mentioned in the deed of the end of the 19th century when the family bought the estate.
Today the distillation of specially selected Baco wines takes place during the first half of December of each year using an authentic Armagnac still in continuous operation. We are attached to this grape variety, definitely recognized as a major Armagnac grape variety, for the characteristic roundness and smoothness that it gives to our soils.
The vineyard is located on the green hills to the north-west of Eauze where alternating sandy-clay soils and sandy soils called "fawn sands". This specific terroir of the “Bas-Armagnac” area is renowned for its delicate and fruity eaux-de-vie.
