DAD’S HAT PENNSYLVANIA RYE WHISKEY Our classic rye recipe features only rye grain and malt to deliver a pure expression of Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey. Barrel aging for least six months in charred, new oak quarter casks allows the genuine rye flavor to evolve quickly. As a result, the small batch whiskey is ensured of reaching the right balance of complexity and smoothness. The final product is a very smooth spirit that delivers the up-front spice that rye is known for while finishing with a full, round mouthfeel. Tasting Notes Floral and spicy on the nose with a well-balanced mouth feel and flavor — up-front and back-end spice, cinnamon on the mid-palate. Underlying notes of dried fruit and black cherry with hints of tobacco, vanilla and oak. Alcohol by volume. 45%
DAD’S HAT PENNSYLVANIA STRAIGHT RYE WHISKEY The first Straight Rye made in Pennsylvania in over 25 years, this delicious whiskey is distilled farm-to-bottle in Pennsylvania with locally harvested grain and aged for a minimum of four years. The classic Pre-Prohibition flavor profile is the result of time-tested distilling methods and painstaking attention to detail. Tasting Notes A lush and complex rye in the classic, spicy Pennsylvania Style. The nose reveals rye grass and burnt sugar with hints of vanilla. The flavor coats the tongue in layers of pepper and cinnamon spice, green apple, fig and cocoa powder with a long smooth and lingering finish. Alcohol by volume. 47.5% DAD’S HAT BOTTLED IN BOND PENNSYLVANIA STRAIGHT RYE This is a whiskey of integrity that should be tasted in its full, bond-certified glory. A blend of five specifically selected barrels, distilled in the same season, were used to blend this spirit, resulting in deep, rich, concentrated flavor. After maturing in these barrels for 5 years, the emerging whiskey is a classic Pre-Prohibition Pennsylvania Bottled in Bond. Dad’s Hat Bottled in Bond Pennsylvania Straight Rye Whiskey follows all the regulations of the historic Bottled-in-Bond Act for age, proof and purity. Tasting Notes The spirit presents with sweet grain, cut grass, minty herbs and vanilla caramel. Rich balance through the entire mouth. Very low heat for 100 proof. Black and white pepper on the tip, dry cinnamon center and malt edges. Graham cracker, mint and mild orchard fruit dissolves to dark cocoa powder, black cherry and a long, smooth, oily finish. Alcohol by volume. 50% DAD’S HAT PENNSYLVANIA RYE PORT WINE FINISH Rich port wine flavor meets genuine rye spice as we add another unique double finish rye to the ranks with our Port Wine Finish Rye. This rye is double finished for an additional three months in separate barrels which previously contained port wine, made with red grapes and known for a fruity, pleasant sweetness. Tasting Notes Dark, robust color with a nose of deep florals, fruit and spices. Forward pepper yields to the port fruit on the mid-palate, complemented by cinnamon and cloves. Coats the tongue and finishes with black cherry. The finish is warming and well-balanced. Alcohol by volume. 47% DAD’S HAT PENNSYLVANIA RYE VERMOUTH FINISH For our modern classic Vermouth Finish Rye, we’ve selected casks previously inhabited by Quady Winery’s Vya Sweet Vermouth to create an amazing double finish rye. The process takes our classic rye, already matured for at least six months, and ages for an additional three months in select vermouth barrels. The warm, balanced flavor of American vermouth coupled with our smooth, spicy rye delivers an exceptional nose with a distinctive taste and character all its own. Tasting Notes Deep reddish-brown hue yields to a rich nose of orange, cinnamon, pepper and vanilla – evolving as it opens. Leads with up-front spice to mid-palate dryness with the delicate finish of sweet vermouth on the back of the tongue. Round, complex flavor delivered in layers and demanding to be savored. Alcohol by volume. 47% DAD’S HAT PENNSYLVANIA RYE MAPLE FINISH For this purely Pennsylvania collaboration, Dad’s Hat takes barrels used to age their whiskey and sends them to Grinarml’s Maple Syrup Company in Somerset. Grinarml’s syrup ages in those barrels for several months. Then, Dad’s Hat’s barrel-aged whiskey is put back into those barrels to age some more. The whiskey picks up just a hint of maple flavor to create an end product that’s not too heavy or too sweet. It’s a special kind of give and take that makes this whiskey and maple syrup the best of friends. Alcohol by volume. 45% DAD’S HAT PENNSYLVANIA SINGLE BARREL STRAIGHT RYE The allure of these rare spirits is unique, both in the flavor and the singular quality of the carefully cultivated product. Produced outside of a larger batch, the undiluted nature of single barrel whiskey delivers a bolder, more robust, taste. Each bottle, typically featuring a hand-written barreled-on-date, bottled-on-date and cask (aka barrel) number, is taken from an individual source and, therefore, boasts its own set of distinct characteristics.
