Macard is a Right Bank Bordeaux owned and run by the Aubert family consisting of Alain Aubert, his wife Bernadette, and their three daughters. They have consistently made great wine for over 30 years. The family owns several main chateaux, most of which are in Saint-Emilion, one of the most respected appellations in Bordeaux.
The chateau is located in Saint Magne de Castillon, which is practically next door to Saint-Emilion.
The vines of the Château de Macard planted on a plateau raising it to more than 80 meters above the level of the Dordogne, benefit from a perfect exposure and a panoramic situation on the valley , giving this Bordeaux Supérieur red, Château de Macard, an exceptional character.
