Located in the heart of the medieval city of Sommières, the Vignerons du Sommiérois is the result of the merger of 3 cooperative cellars and operates a 700ha vineyard in 7 municipalities between Nîmes and Montpellier, in the south of France.
Since 1923 , our winegrowers have worked with the greatest respect for the land and the environment to passionately produce quality wines with a strong personality, revealing the terroir of Sommières. Rigorous specifications and meticulous parcel selection are the basis of the work of our winegrowers.
The quality of our wines is also rewarded with numerous medalsobtained each year. Thanks to this permanent openness as well as our experience, we are now able to offer a wide range of tastes thanks to our different ranges of AOP Languedoc, AOP Languedoc Sommières and IGP Pays d'Oc wines .
All of our vines are worked in sustainable agriculture , and part is in organic farming (organic certification since the 2012 harvest).
The Medilune wines vineyards are located located in Sommiers south of the Garrigues and on the edge of the Vaunage. The topography make it one of the coolest areas in the region. The cooling winds and higher elevations allow the vines to be planted in optimal exposition. The soils are alluvial, rich in limestone marls and with abundant large pebbles. All of our vines are worked in sustainable agriculture and some are in organic farming
