Pinot noir from our vineyard has ripened well with good structure, color and ripe flavors of red and dark berries depending on the clones. The vineyard consists of a blend of volcanic soils on the upper elevations and marine sediment on the lower elevations. The 2020 vintage was very good vintage in general: warm from beginning of the growing season right up to harvest with very ripe fruit development, smaller yields for all in the Willamette Valley in general meaning smaller clusters and berries resulting in more skin to fruit ratios which equated to higher quality for us in 2020.
