We almost gave up California Chards until we tasted wines from the Santa Rita Hills….
Our growing obsession to make wines in the this region soon became a reality when a good friend, who owns a winery in the Santa Rita Valley offered us a few barrels of Chardonnay, sourced from different vineyards, to make our own blend
- and Sea Goat Wines was born.
This is the first bottling of our cool climate Pacific Coast wine selection.
Our background is in importing wines - over more than two decades we have honed our skills in tasting wines and selecting the best lots from wineries and often helping in the blending process.
We understand the relationship between terroir and wines - and we always look for honest wines, with a sense of place. So naturally, we avoid wineries and winemakers that mask wines with too much oak or process.
As this project evolves we will work with existing wineries and custom blend barrels from their selection to create our own bottling. Most wineries prefer to remain anonymous - and we respect that but we like to give props to winemakers - terroir & label designers.
