Tenuta Terraviva was born in the splendid and uncontaminated hills of Tortoreto, in the province of Teramo, a bright and ideal setting for creating wines capable of telling the Terroir, as tenacious as the land to which they belong and inspired by the wind and the Adriatic sea.
Terraviva has 22 hectares of vineyards that extend in a single body, arranged in a solar arch overlooking the sea.
We vinify only and exclusively organic grapes produced in our vineyards to fully express the satisfaction of bottling the fruit of our work.
The attention to detail and the attention paid to every single moment of the production process give our wines an extraordinary level of quality. This is why we decided to vinify each single plot of land separately, to maintain the uniqueness of each micro terroir.
Our idea is to represent through our wines the terroir from which we come, for this we work only indigenous vines: Trebbiano, Pecorino, Passerina and Montepulciano.
The old plants are cultivated through the system of pergolas that help the bunches to protect themselves from the sun. The younger plants, on the other hand, are grown both in espalier and pergola.
Terraviva has been certified organic since 1998, which is why chemicals have never been used in our land, the main idea is that our soils are fertile and alive and maintain the biodiversity also given by the forest and the lake that we have in our land. vicinity.
Since 2020, however, we have approached biodynamic agriculture, passionate about the concept that agriculture is in tune with nature, men and the earth. Given the biological activities, the soils are vital, the plants grow naturally and are nourished by the ecosystem and the soil.
