VARIETAL 91% Carmènére, 3% Syrah, 6% Cabernet Franc
REGION Colchagua Valley, Chile
WINEMAKING Fermentation was initiated at 28° C, but the temperature was decreased afterwards in order to avoid excessive extraction of the elements in the skins. The wine was stored in oak barrels, 20% in new French for 12 months during which time malolactic fermentation was carried out.
TASTING NOTE Nose: It opens with aromas of black fruits accompanied by a light touch of spice such as black pepper and cloves over a subtle backdrop of roasted red pepper and tarragon. Palate: very soft, silky tannins, along with vibrant acidity and tremendous volume, all of which foretell good aging potential.
